Love + Cross Studio is based in Seattle, WA.
Welcome to the Studio, my name is Eliana, I am dedicated to creating art that serve as visual reminders of God’s love + presence.
Each painting is created with intentionality, incorporating scripture, color, and the beauty of flowers to invite spiritual reflection and a sense of belonging to those who view them.
These paintings are more than just decorations- but part of cultivating an atmosphere that speaks life, peace and divine connection.
Each painting is a love letter in bloom— a reminder that God is always near.
Artist StatementI paint florals bathed in light as a reminder of God’s faithfulness—even in the mundane. Each piece begins in prayer and unfolds as an act of worship, emerging in color and form that reflect His presence. My brushstrokes move between surrender and refinement, layering color and texture to create depth, movement, and vibrancy. These expressive marks range from fluid, bold lines to soft blends, allowing alla prima blooms to emerge organically from the background.
Rooted in faith and informed by scripture, my work explores themes of love, renewal, and hope. Each painting is created with intention—not only for aesthetic enjoyment, but to offer beauty that serves and uplifts others. Abstract backgrounds suggest the mystery of God’s movement—unseen yet undeniable—while the florals symbolize hope, beauty, and promise.
Through every layer, my aim is to invite stillness, awaken wonder, and offer a quiet reassurance; that in God’s presence, all things are held, and nothing is beyond possibility.
“Psalm 96:6 – “Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.”MY STORY
Creating and serving others has always carried profound meaning to me. As a child, I loved drawing, painting, and writing. But, even more so, was sharing my art with friends and family, and a greater joy in seeing them inspired to pursue their own creative talents.
However, I went through a major transition as a teenager that impacted my creativity. I had moved from New York to Florida, which garnered challenges in sharing my art due to being in an unfamiliar environment. Yet, during this time, my very first mixed media floral painting would be birthed— a foretelling of my future artistic practice.
However, going into young adulthood, I would drop much of my creative pursuits. Although the desire to create remained, I chose to pursue a more conventional and stable career path, setting aside art in favor of practicality.
I went on to become a nurse in New York City, believing that I had found purpose and meaning. However, by my mid-twenties, I realized that my choices rooted in financial security did not fill the emptiness I was carrying. Ultimately, a series of events would led me back to Florida—in the same state where I first picked up a paint brush. I found myself reconnecting with my creativity and going forth to become a full-time artist.
Motivated by this rediscovery, I became a self-taught artist under the name Lauren Chavarria Art. While I found joy in creating again, it also prompted deep reflection. Even as I pursued what felt like a childhood dream coming to life, I felt there was still more waiting to be discovered.
Eventually, it wasn’t enough to create. I started to feel uncertainty and wonder about what actually was in my soul. This season was marked by profound loneliness and doubt. Yet, God would pull me out of this place. He met me in the same state where I once left behind my creative freedom. In what felt desolate, I found belonging. Creating stopped feeling like striving and became a state of being.
Ultimately, God led me to take several leaps of faith—to surrender my former art business, embrace who He has called me to be, and begin creating for His glory. From that step of obedience came the birth of Love + Cross Studio. It is in this space, I aim to remind you of God’s faithfulness, love and redemptive power.
These paintings are designed to meet you wherever you are in your journey of faith and to encourage you to press in on what God has in store for you. Truly, it is both a blessing and an honor to share, serve and inspire others through creating beauty.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.John 3:16
