The eyes of this piece seek to behold the sapphire likeness of God’s throne. Derived from a personal vision of seeing the eyes of Jesus and what appeared to be galaxies in His eyes, I wanted to recreate the awe and dreamlike wonder through radiant colors in the irises. The scattered gold and pink, blue, and purple hydrangeas represent the different aspects of Jesus’ character in His love, forgiveness, and royalty.
